Marko Margeta - Architect//Coder//Designer
Architect(ARB)/Designer/Coder with 19 years of AEC/CGI and 11 years of Computational Design background. Focusing on BIM, Sustainability, Procedural/Computational-Design, Game-Engines/ WebGL and officewide Tool development & automation in the field of Architecture and Beyond.
Currently working at Bjarke Ingles Group in London. In the last 6 years at Zaha Hadid Architects, member of the ZH CODE (computational and design) team and Cluster 2 (architect department working mostly on RIBA-Stage 2+ Projects) . Involved in more than 40 projects from various scale and type including sculptures, buildings, master-plans, products and media. Further, developing office wide tools and plug-ins for various software-packages to increase productivity and coherent of quality across teams.
During the time in ZH CODE - utilizing computational approaches to solve complex tasks. Working with generative geometry and machine code (G-code) to drive experimental fabrication. Utilizing Data-sets, graphs and scalar fields to drive urban planning, visions and ideas. Creating environmental data and optimization as well as space and spatial analysis to generate quick feasibility studies.
During time in ZHA Cluster 2 - working on RIBA-Stage 3 projects, handling and managing the BIM-side of the projects, collaborating/working with consultants and preparing the deliverables and datasets according to the local requirements. Using custom computational methods and automations to optimize and speed-up the work-flow. Currently at ZHA, working on Competitions with a focus on the European market, mostly in Germany.
During Free time, developing new Tools and Scripts for Rhino / Maya / Revit, as well as diving into Machine learning and Web based 3d-applications. Always looking for new challenges to tackle and skills to acquire and master.
